Lauren & Dave’s Boston Seaport Hotel Wedding

Lauren & Dave were married at the beautiful Seaport Hotel in Boston. These two have looked forward to this day for a looooong time. Considering Lauren first declared a little crush for Dave all the way back in freshman year of high school.

Fast forward a decade of growing up together – milestones shared include graduating high school, college, starting careers and their first home. These two – and all of their favorite people – had a lot to celebrate.

So yes, you did just see that Lauren had two wedding gowns. But we’re going to skip to the guys for a sec. Dave, his brother and his best buds got ready for the big day at their apartment in Boston’s North End. Ben and I both scored big with L&D’s getting ready locations – their apartment and the Seaport Hotel suite are filled with so much beautiful natural light! Plus they both overlook Boston Harbor…not a bad start to the day.

Back to the ladies – these girls are sweethearts. I had met many of them when I photographed Lauren’s bridal shower, so it was awesome having a room filled with mostly familiar faces…plus, they were already strategizing Sunday’s brunch spot. My kind of girls.

Lauren immediately made me feel like I was just one of the bridesmaids. She’s sweet and gracious and always smiling. Oh, and remember how I mentioned two gowns. Make that 3. She had this fantastic white backless jumpsuit for the after-party!

Aaaand these beautiful smiles make this my new official engagement guest book picture. Watching them look through the book we custom-designed for Lauren & Dave was one of the highlights of my day!

Mary Beth! Lauren’s mom is a love. She’s worked so hard to help Lauren plan all of the details for this day, her baby’s wedding day.

How much do you LOVE the back of her gown?! Lauren was absolutely radiant as we waited for the trolley to arrive.

A tearful moment after Lauren’s mom made her way down the aisle and saw her mother, Lauren’s grandmother.

Dave may have been a bit nervous before, but it all disappeared when he took Lauren’s hand. He visibly relaxed as they started the ceremony, hand in hand.

Fr. Matt Williams of Our Lady of the Voyage Shrine was beyond wonderful. He was personal and funny and engaging. I thoroughly enjoyed their wedding ceremony.

BEST post-wedding reactions.

We walked along the Fort Point Channel for some of the best views of Boston and portraits with their wedding party.

The moment Lauren surprised Dave with her second dress!

Dave & Lauren’s wedding reception was in the Lighthouse Room at the Seaport Hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous. Tall centerpieces by Your Personal Florist.

I love the moment before they’re introduced. They waited patiently – this moment beyond surreal – to get introduced and dance their first dance.

Cover Story Band is AWESOME. They are talented and fun, and had the dancefloor packed quick. We always love working with this group. Highly recommend!

The entire day was amazing. Lauren & Dave, I hope it was everything you wanted it to be. We loved being there to capture it all, and celebrate your long-awaited marriage!
