Here’s to the fall weddings in New England, especially at Mount Washington Resort! We love celebrating weddings at this iconic hotel and wedding venue any time of the year, but there’s a certain magic that comes with the crisp fall air and colorful autumn leaves. And so the photographic story of Jolene + Kevin’s wedding day begins!
Our associate photographers – the incredible Shannon + Amanda – were alongside these two on their wedding day. They’re a great addition to our team, if you want to see another wedding they’ve shot, check out Kelly + Nick’s wedding. They’re all incredibly sweet, thoughtful humans so I knew they’d hit it off. They’ve been raving about each other since.
Jolene got ready with all of her favorite girls – her cousin, closest friends and mom! Beware – when popping giant bottles of champagne, the bigger the bottle, the bigger the pop! Hahahha, I love the progression of reactions here!
Jolene had the very best styling team with Wedding affHairs + flowers by The Fuchsia Peony. Our faves! Her look was perfection.
Kevin got ready with the help of his dad, and was ready early for their first look at Mount Washington Resort. This is my favorite spot for first looks, because its quiet and private. Depending on the time of day, the resort itself can be very busy, but there’s never anyone out here on the lawn. They’ve got the place to themselves, with the most picturesque background as a really great bonus, like our friends Molly + Josh!
One thing that was important to Jolene was to get a variety of scenic portraits together on their wedding day…Shannon and Amanda delivered! They danced their way through the resort and all around before meeting up with their family + wedding party for group portraits.
The colors were just WOW. Their wedding ceremony followed on the South Veranda. Kevin’s mom officiated, which was the sweetest thing. He got emotional as he waited for Jolene, and it was contagious…tears were welling up in the audience, too!
Not a bad place for cocktail hour, right?!? I can’t ever get enough of those White Mountains views and allll of the angles Mount Washington Resort has to offer.
The Presidential Ballroom was filled with warm amber lighting and the party was ON. Dinner, toasts and dancing followed, featuring one of the fastest congo lines ever. I think people missed these during the pandemic…we’ve seen them at almost all of our weddings this year!
Jolene + Kevin, you wanted a day that was magical and stunning…I’d say you did it, and enjoyed every single moment. We loved being there with you. Congratulations!!
