Justin + Caitlin’s Mount Washington Hotel Wedding

Mount Washington Hotel is without a doubt one of the most magical places in New England. If not THE most magical place. So when we had the chance to spend the weekend there with two of the friendliest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet, the answer was an easy: YES PLEASE.

I’m delighted to present the highlight of Caitlin & Justin’s Mount Washington Hotel fall wedding.

Caitlin explained the wedding theme as “Classic/Romantic with a touch of Ethereal/Playful/Woodsy.” The floral design by The Fuchsia Peony pulled the theme together perfectly. Her bouquet and her bridesmaid bouquets were GORGEOUS. I’m obsessed with her beautiful fall wedding flowers, so you’ll see about a thousand pictures of them sprinkled throughout C+J’s highlight.

Here’s Caitlin! Her first look at the Guest Book we created for her, with her favorite engagement pictures, taken at the Fells on a 3-hour tour. A three. Hour. Tour.

Caitlin & Justin had a first look on the private side lawn at Mount Washington Hotel, with the first peeks of fall foliage in the distance. They wanted to enjoy as much time with their family & friends, and the first look helped them do just that.

I’m a HUGE fan of living in the moment, and enjoying all the little things. Insert every other cliche about happiness here. That’s my jam. And that’s why these people are my people. There was twirling from EVERYONE (yep, even Justin who said “Its my wedding day, too!”), hugs, kisses, and time taken to actually smell the flowers.

Mount Washington Hotel arranged a shuttle to take us to the base of the drive. For these.

Invitations by Minted, and flowers for styling provided by The Fuchsia Peony.

We highly recommend an Unplugged Wedding Ceremony, where your friends and family put their phones away and truly be present for the moment you marry your best friend. We also recommend giving guests stuff to throw at you at the end. Hehe. It looks far more eloquent than stated here, and is a lot of fun. In C+J’s case, they made cute little paper cones filled with rose petal confetti.

Their wedding ceremony was held on the iconic Jewell Terrace at Mount Washington Hotel, decorated with flowers and lanterns. Caitlin collected nearly 100 lanterns over the year leading up to their wedding. Her efforts were so worth it.

They were married by Rev. Larry Camerlin. When they first met with him, they talked for hours and he asked them to write letters to each other with their promises and hopes. He read the sweetest parts during the ceremony that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. And he also asked everyone to hug the people around them. It was such a happy celebration of love for two kindhearted people.

“Want me jump off of this ledge? I used to be a gymnast.” YEP.

We headed down to the Presidential Foyer & outside patio for cocktail hour. Their wedding reception followed in the Presidential Ballroom at Mount Washington Hotel.

Tributes to old love and new love.

These two are those friends you love to see on the dance floor at every wedding. Especially if Michael Jackson is on. And even more especially if Thriller is on. Oh, its on.

The dance party was insane, just as they said it would be. And on the way out we enjoyed looking through their guest book, filled with the most thoughtful sentiments from their favorite people, alongside their favorite engagement portraits. So many people took the opportunity to express their love and gratitude for these two that they filled the entire book and had to write on the inside back cover. Heart exploding.

But then we turned around, and there were s’mores.

Caitlin & Justin put so much thought & planning into their wedding day, and it was worth all the effort. It truly was magical, and we are so grateful to have been a part of it.
