today’s love story:
Matthew & Alysha’s Garden Wedding at Harrington Farm
and all the magical moments that made it
June 23 is always a beautiful, happy, loving day. We know this because Ben and I were married nine years ago on this date, and its been lovely ever since. We often celebrate our anniversary by capturing the start of new marriage. We listen to the vows a little deeper, and it feels renewing. This year we had the honor of photographing the beautiful garden ceremony & celebration of Alysha & Matthew’s wedding at Harrington Farm.
Their love blossomed over their passion for gardening, and is the reason they chose Harrington Farm, with its beautiful gardens and elegant barn. It was so perfectly them, and they decorated it with thoughtful garden-themed accents. They were married in the side garden by Matthew’s father, who is a Pastor.
The flowers by Holmes Shusas were truly spectacular. Some of the most beautiful we’ve seen. And their portraits! We created magic in the tall grass and gardens throughout Harrington Farm. Please enjoy, and leave a note at the bottom if you’ve enjoyed!
Their card exchange was beautiful, and they both slipped away to spend a few minutes alone enjoying the words the other wrote.
I love this picture of Alysha’s mom helping her into her gown. Her expression is so relaxed and ready.
It was at this moment that she decided to walk down the aisle with her veil over her face. Stunning.
The bridesmaids surrounded Alysha with love and prayer before the ceremony in an incredible moment of support and care for this couple.
The light was gorgeous on their wedding day, from start to finish. And in addition to helping our couples feel comfortable in front of the camera for love-filled, joy-filled portraits, I’m also here with gentle reminders to take in the moments of the day, and truly take time to stop and smell the roses. Or in this case, the peonies.
