We’ve seen a trend with our couples. They are kind, loving, appreciative and – we’re realizing especially this year – quite often high school sweethearts.
AJ & Jamie are one of those couples. They were nominated as cutest couple in high school and you’ll quickly see why. They’re welcoming and happy and incredibly thoughtful, and are blessed to have found their life partner early.
For all of these reasons, we were so looking forward to September 29 at The Barn at Gibbet Hill. Ben and I met up with them at the Marriott Courtyard in Littleton MA to start our adventures on a trolley. An Old Town Trolley trolley, to be exact.
Ad for Coors Light, a gentleman’s beer?! AJ is always smiling…and I cannot wait for you to see his reaction when he sees his beautiful bride during their first look at The Barn at Gibbet Hill! #swoon
Meet Jamie and her ladies! They were beyond excited for the trolley ride, and rocked it the whole way to Groton.
Appreciation for everything this day was is an understatement. It was so much fun watching Jamie take everything in. She paused at the beauty of the barn, the gorgeous flowers by Flourish and cake by Konditor Meister, and finally, her wedding gown by Essense of Australia.
We’re always looking for – and making suggestions to our couples on – gorgeous light on their wedding day. This isn’t the typical getting ready room at Gibbet Hill, but it was the perfect location for Jamie to get dressed. I love the way the window light illuminates just her, in this incredibly surreal all-eyes-on-her moment as her groom awaits outside.
The classic “what do I do with my hands” moment.
AJ & Jamie’s wedding party was a ton of fun, and good listeners too. We flew through the pictures, which meant the girls had time to sip champagne and the guys could get in a few rounds of cornhole.
Jamie’s maid of honor was her beautiful big sis, who coincidentally enough is also engaged to her high school sweetheart…and they were also voted cutest couple in HS. Love that fact. Brittany was there for anything Jamie needed, and the two shared lots of laughs throughout the day.
This moment. The first steps out of the barn, overlooking all of her favorite people and her husband-to-be.
Jamie & AJ wrote vows for one another, and you could visibly see how their words touched each other and loved ones who witnessed, especially her parents.
They’re married! I loved their first kiss, but I loved their second at the end of the aisle even more.
We ventured up to the castle ruins overlooking Gibbet Hill for that magical light and beyond-gorgeous views.
Sister adventures.
When we returned, Gibbet Hilll’s barn was ready for dinner, and was so warm and inviting. I’ll let the pictures do the talking from here on out.
Jamie & AJ, this day was beyond magical. I kept having those “pinch me” moments so I can’t even imagine how the two of you felt. Your wedding was perfect in every way…and I hope your honeymoon adventures are as well! xoxo.
