Marjorie + Rich’s Harvard MA Wedding

Marjorie & Rich have been dating since 2012. They reconnected through friends and, well, now the rest is history. He’s the nicest guy she ever met….and this July, it was time to get married.

Family is so important to Marjorie. She was concerned her nana may not make it to the wedding, so she brought the wedding to Nana. Marjorie & Rich had their first look in Nana’s backyard, and Nana got the second look.

While Marjorie went to Nana’s for a first look, it was Nana who enjoyed her first look at BEN! Hahaha, I’m still laughing – she kept her eye on him all day, and insisted he hop in the pictures beforehand. She’s newly “on the hunt” as she put it! #favoritepersonoftheday

We headed to Shaker Hills in Harvard for portraits and both the wedding ceremony and reception. This was our first time shooting at Shaker Hills, which is just down the road from our photography studio in Bolton, and we loved it! Gorgeous grounds, a stately building and a fantastic event manager (Kasee, you rock!).

Marjorie is so laid back…she asked a friend to decorate a chalkboard sign the night before the wedding, and ok’ed it without seeing it. Here, she was pleasantly surprised with her friend’s chalk work!

They used the ring pillow from her parent’s wedding! Holly & Sam, her parents, still happily married for over FORTY years. I love the moment they shared before they walked down the aisle together. This moment struck me as one of the loveliest moments of the day.

Cocktail hour on the Veranda with guitar music, wine and so much food. Everyone headed inside to Shaker Hills’ ballroom for dinner & dancing. Starting with M&R’s GORGEOUSLY executed first dance (thanks to Firebeat Ballroom Studios). Wow. The dip is one of the best we’ve seen! And angled just right. From there, the dance floor was packed thanks to the always incredible First Class Band with lead singer Concetta. Here are some of our favorite reception moments.
