I’m a huge fan of Sunday Funday in general. And when it comes to weddings, I now feel kind of obsessed with sunny Sunday afternoon weddings, after being a part of Brittany + Craig’s!
Let’s count the ways I loved this wedding…first up, Brittany was super intentional with her getting ready location. A good location for getting ready makes all the difference in the preparation pictures! She chose Abigail’s Nest in Sturbridge, which had character AND gorgeous light upstairs.
Next, their details. She mentioned that the getting ready part of the day – including all of the pretty details – were some of her favorite pictures. She left a box with extra ribbons and all of her pretty things. Abigail’s Nest had the cute little pumpkins that happened to match perfectly with her color palette!
Next up, I love that these two wrote cards to each other, and that Brittany felt everything so honestly (and beautifully – as an ugly-cryer, I’m jealous she can make crying this pretty!) and was so generous with her love and gratitude all day.
Hi Craig! He and the guys went to the Barn early for portraits before the ceremony. Brittany and Craig decided against a first look, so the first time he’d see his bride was as she walked down the aisle. Craig’s a sweetheart who also wears his heart on his sleeve. He and B met in college and have grown up together. They’re each other’s best friend and partner in all things.
Craig’s brother Cameron was best man, and has incredible hair. Well, they both do and so does their dad…his brother just has so much of it! The light was that dreamy morning light, lighting up this gorgeous bride and her beautiful farm venue.
They were married by Arthur Tatro, who married Ben and I over 14 years ago. It’s always such a pleasure hearing his ceremonies, and I also loved that Brittany’s chosen mom, joined to take part with a special rope tying. She was so eloquent and her words were so profound, it moved pretty much everyone to tears!
Their sweet families! I love the one below because the thoughtful gesture of Craig fixing his sister’s hair was something you don’t typically see.Look at this cutie little photo booth by Fort Photo Booth, and scroll on for another treat they had that was perfect for a daytime wedding…donuts! That along with Apple Cider Sangria named “The Teddy” after their furbaby seems like a pretty good Sunday afternoon.
Toasts, lunch and formal dances done, the dancefloor erupted…this was absolutely one of my favorite parts of the day. It was like Footloose, and everyone just wanted to dance.
The day was fun inside and out, with a patio for cocktails and enjoying the September sun outside and dancing and donuts inside.
After everyone exited the barn, Brittany and Craig enjoyed a private last dance together. It gave them a beautiful moment and gave their friends + family time to get ready to toss some petals at these newlyweds. Check out their formal exit and getaway car!
This smile is everything the wedding day is about. Two people, so in love and so ready for the rest of their lives together. Congratulations, Brittany + Craig!
Wow! Tears in my eyes. I feel like I was there. Brittany & Craig & The Ewings! are a perfect combination!!
It was such a perfect day! Thank you for your sweet sentiment, Marcia.
