Alli + Matt’s Misselwood Estate Wedding in Beverly MA

Let’s talk about the key to an amazing wedding day. Or the key to an amazing anything, really. It’s perspective. It’s planning and preparation and then a little bit of faith that things will work out great regardless of what the day brings as long as you have perspective of what’s really important…In Alli & Matt’s case, weather was not going to dampen the day.

Alli & Matt planned a summer wedding at the beautiful Misselwood Estate at Endicott College in Beverly. I cannot say enough about this North Shore wedding venue – the mansion & grounds are meticulously-maintained, the staff is kind and beyond helpful, and the view is perfection.

Alli was ADORABLE while she got dressed. Laughing and dancing, then crying and bringing it back with a little yoga breathing (or so it appeared) just in time to see her dad for her father-daughter first look.

It has rained ALL day. It is SO easy to get overwhelmed by the weather when you’ve put so much into the planning. But Alli never once let it get her down – her and Matt decided that, short of heavy downpours or lightning, they would get married outside. And wouldn’t you know, just 10 minutes before their ceremony was scheduled to start, the rain let up.

And they got married outside.

The food at Misselwood rivaled the view – look at these apps! The picture of Alli enjoying the pizza is one of my favorites of the day. Pure joy, because pizza on the wedding day. And Matt’s face filled with longing…

We photographed Alli’s brother Evan’s wedding to Lauren in 2016 at Zukas Hilltop Barn in Spencer. They’re the sweetest. And so are Alli & Matt, so it would only make sense that they’re best friends.

While their guests headed to the tent on the lower lawn for the reception, these two shared vows privately before heading to their party. I LOVE the intimacy of this exchange…on a day that’s so busy, I’m a big advocate for a little bride & groom time away.

There were toasts and big dancing, so many laughs and hugs and happiness throughout the night in the Misselwood Estate tent. Everything worked out perfectly for these two, just as they planned. xoxo, Alli & Matt. We couldn’t be happier for you!
