Christina & Brad’s Cliff House wedding in Ogunquit Maine is the official start to our 2019 wedding season!
As wedding photographers & videographers in New England, May can be a touch and go month. Especially with the record amounts of rain we’ve had this year.
With rain the day before and rain the day after, skies literally cleared up for just one magical day…Christina & Brad’s wedding day at Cliff House in Ogunquit!
This was our first wedding at Cliff House in Ogunquit, and wow does it impress. This oceanfront luxury resort is so well-thought. The property is massive, and every nook and corner is adorably styled. With the ocean views and unique ballroom, this is an elegant, beautiful Maine wedding venue.
Christina & Brad are from Boston, so their wedding was like a local destination in Ogunquit. With the care of Sara at Candlewood Events (one of the best Boston wedding planners!), the day was perfection. These two are sweet and adorable and have so much love for one another and everyone around them. Their relationship is such a gift and its one you can tell they fully appreciate.
C+B met in college, and have been together for 10 years. This day was really important to them, and it was filled with so many happy tears. Christina’s first tears? Seeing her gorgeous bouquet by Flora Fauna Design. His first tears? Reading her sweet card.
Back to the ladies…Love Notes by June was finishing up hair & makeup and Christina was flawless.
Getting ready, with the help of her mom & best friends.
One of the most anticipated moments of the day was when Christina’s dad and brother would be invited in to see her. It was emotional and raw and beautiful. So much love in this one room.
The lawn at Cliff House is the perfect location for a private first look, tucked away from room views and hotel common areas.
“Christina, do you need to have all of this?!” (Veil & gorgeous Amsale wedding gown with layers and layers of soft tulle, courtesy of L’Elite Bridal on Newbury in Boston.) She answered with a wholehearted YES! And so he rescued her from the layers that swirled in the seaside wind.
Family is so important to these two. We were so impressed with everyone’s willingness to brave the cliffs in heels for these beautiful Cliff House wedding family portraits.
Their wedding ceremony took place in York ME at First Parish Church. As wedding photographers, we are always so pleasantly surprised to find bright churches! So much natural light.
The Atlantic Ballroom at Cliff House is magnificent. Large windows overlook the ocean and the detail in the room is a great mix of classic/elegant and modern. Flowers by Flora Fauna Design filled the room, particularly impressive on the long farm tables.
BEST FIRST DANCE EVER. Ever ever ever. We’re providing the wedding videography for Christina & Brad and just wait until you see their film. The dance was flawless and so sophisticated. They never slowed down, with beautiful twirls and even a lift. These two secretly planned this dance, taking lessons and telling no one. Such a good wedding surprise! I love the reactions after.
Even their cake remnants are pretty. Cake by Sweet Tooth Bakery.
We headed outside for the best light of the day. Christina was ready with flats, so they headed to the cliffs for a few moments just for them. Meanwhile Ben flew the drone overhead for some awesome aerial footage for their wedding video.
At this point, Hudson, a Night Shift Entertainment band, took over and immediately filled the dance floor. They are fantastic performers and had the crowd engaged and entertained.
Christina & Brad, our biggest congratulations go out to the two of you. Your connection is beautiful and you were beyond wonderful to work with. We are so thankful to have been a part of your day.
