Extended Family Portrait Session

Family Portraits

I’ve been photographing this sweet family since Caia was a newborn and our photography studio was in our original location in downtown Westminster (north of Worcester)…so I think that makes it just about 8 years now!

First, I remember Caia’s mom told me that her daughter had a special “zest for life” – she’s active and curious and adventurous and smart. And her little brother Ronan dotes on her most of all!

This extended family portrait session was a gift for their grandmother, as a celebration of her 70th birthday. Portraits with her sweet family were all she wanted. We planned a session to get some wall-worthy portraits. Plus capture the sweet, silly stuff in between. I love seeing the connection with their grandparents emerge so beautifully during their session.

After the session, I headed to their grandparents’ home to measure walls and create portrait designs of their favorite portraits. To fill the rooms they’re in most.

They created a living room display with 3 framed portraits plus a canvas for the den. Matted prints for the office and an album to keep all of their favorites. This session meant to much to them – and to me! To be able to create such important family keepsakes, especially with all of the hardships of Covid. It’s so moving to focus on the most beautiful things in life – our connection with family!
