Happy Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day really gets a bad rap, doesn’t it?! It’s sadly gone from a day to celebrate love to a “Hallmark Holiday.” Today, let’s ban together to bring this beautiful day back! Let’s put aside the flowers, the jewelry, the chocolates (Ok, maybe not the chocolates) and let’s hug the ones we love. Because its always comes back to love. And who doesn’t like a good hug?!

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
  –  Dr. Seuss

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
  – Martin Luther King Jr., A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches

“A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.”
  –  Elbert Hubbard

“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.”
  –  Sarah Dessen, The Truth About Forever

And my personal favorite:

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
  –  Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

Happy Valentine’s Day!

xoxo,
erica
