James & Michele’s Squantum Association Wedding

James & Michele recently got married at the Squantum Association, a beautiful wedding venue just outside of Providence Rhode Island. This was our first time at this RI oceanfront venue, and it was such a treat! Such a unique venue with amazing photo opps. Though most of the magic of this day is credited to James & Michele, two incredibly wonderful people with equally as wonderful family & friends. Here’s a glimpse into their beautiful wedding day.

Maid of Honor Michelle, getting her makeup done below, is a 2x EEP Bridesmaid! You may remember her from Heather & Jeff’s wedding. Heather & Michelle are the ones who set Michele & I up, thank you again ladies! Perfect match.

Our guest book is always such a gift on the wedding day – in this case, bringing Michele to tears. Which always makes me feel good… and a little bad too 🙂

Finally it was time to put on her gown – the picture of her mom, eyes filled with love and pride for her daughter, is one of my favorites from their day, and a moment I was so glad to capture for them.

So before their first look, they both separately made a joke wondering if they should jump out and scare the other…I thought it was a crazy coincidence, until MOH Michelle’s speech. This is apparently their thing! Or at least its Michele’s thing. 🙂

They braved the cold, and rocky terrain, and wind because they trust us. And I’m so glad for this! Quantum Association is beyond picturesque – a gem oceanfront wedding venue in Rhode Island, just outside of Providence RI.

Their ceremony happens just 30 minutes or so after this picture, in the rotunda of the building in the background.

Michele is very close with her grandmother, and it was important to her to get a portrait with her. Her grandmother has the most beautiful smile, and I love the in-between moments they shared too.

Time to get married! James’s sister, edge of her seat with fingers crossed as she waits to see how her flower girls will do. Nailed it!

And then it was Michele’s turn. James’s expression below says it all. L. O. V. E. For always.

Michele rang the honorary gong to signal the end to cocktail hour, when everyone could head outside and over to the main building for dinner & dancing.

So just as cocktail hour begins James mentions – quite casually – something about firing a canon before the reception. Wait. Wait. That’s happening? Tonight?! Pretty sure Michele blocked this detail out, so we hustled out, met up with the soldiers and figured out our lighting game plan. Got it! This was a first for us, and probably for most of their on-looking guests too!

A wonderful November wedding for a truly wonderful couple. Congratulations Michele & James!
