J+M’s Wequasset Resort Wedding on Cape Cod

I bet you said to yourself: “how awesome would it be to see a killer Cape Cod wedding today.”

Well, friend, you’re in luck. Because Jillian & Matt’s Wequasset Resort wedding in Harwich MA was just that.

Let’s start with the wedding venue – Wequasset is one of the top-rated resorts on Cape Cod. From the rooms to the staff and gorgeous harbor view, this is THE place to get married on the Cape.

Jillian & Matt were able to host all of their friends & family on-resort (or Pleasant Bay in Chatham, just down the road. We highly recommend!), with beautiful choices for both outdoor and indoor ceremony locations.

Regardless of weather, it would be an amazing day here, especially with wedding planner Jamie from Cape Cod Celebrations at the helm.

I always start with the ladies so today let’s get started with Matt and the guys. They got ready in the dreamy Round Cove Suite.

Matt is the best. He’s one of the friendliest guys you’ll meet, ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. Just an all-around good guy, and he loves Jillian with everything he has. Beyond being excited to work with two incredible people at a gorgeous location, their connection is what I was most looking forward to capturing that day.

Matt and Jillian told us how awesome their family and friends were, and we saw it quickly that day. These guys were great – they laughed at my jokes and didn’t laugh too hard when I tripped over the cornhole board right before this picture. hehe.

And now the ladies! Just as Matt’s brother was best man, Jillian’s beautiful sister was MOH. The girls were total troopers, braving 40 degree temps in silk robes for nice light to create adorable pictures for Jillian. Surprise!

Our girl Jillian has exquisite style. She handed me so many drool-worthy details when I arrived. #kidinaChristianLouboutincandystore

Jillian brought together the dream team for her wedding – with Lisa George styling and a Lian Carlo wedding gown. Swoon!

Matt & Jillian had EIGHT children in their wedding party. They are blessed with so many nieces and nephews, and she made sure to spend time with each of them throughout the day. Because that’s just who she is. Thoughtful, sweet, and beyond gorgeous. She’s also totally successful…a dentist, if you couldn’t tell by all of the perfect teeth in this highlight!

The moment Matt surprised her with unexpected sparkle for her wrist.

The biggest challenge during the day was the room the ladies got ready in. It was really, really dark, except for overhead tungsten lighting. Not flattering. A little room clean-up and improvising with Lisa’s makeup lights and we created this. You’d never know it wasn’t window light!

Love for the man who loved her first.

Remember the 8 nieces and nephews we mentioned…check out these little cuties, who greeted guests at Wequasset’s custom round Sperry tent for the ceremony.

The ballroom at Wequasset was stunning, with warm amber uplighting provided by Wilson Stevens Productions, and tablescapes full of candles. Designers Touch Florals provided stunning florals.

These two wanted to spend as much time with family & friends as possible, so we designed a timeline with that goal in mind. They joined much of cocktail hour, and as guests moved from the tent to the ballroom for dinner, we snuck out to take some portraits while the sun set. Just the two of them.

The engagement guest book we created for them, which was filled with so many loving sentiments by the end of the night!

Splash, a Wilson Stevens band, took care of entertainment for the night. The website says they are known for “high-energy performances and exceptional reviews.” I can 100% vouch for that. They were INCREDIBLE. Wilson Stevens is amazing, and this band did not disappoint.
