If you’re looking for a majestic mountain resort wedding venue for your destination wedding, look no further than the Omni Mount Washington Resort.
Family and friends traveled from Texas and beyond to attend the wedding of Betsy and Michael, two incredible humans with a crew who I honestly think would be willing to travel anywhere for them.
The vibe of this summer wedding was FUN. The color palette was vibrant COLOR, and the day’s itinerary took them from the base of Mount Washington at the historic Omni Mount Washington Resort to the top of Bretton Woods at the modern Rosebrook Lodge, with a view like none other.
Let’s dive in.
The Omni Mount Washington Resort has been around for over 120 years and is on the list of Historic Hotels of America. It’s got the charm of an old grand hotel with the modern amenities and addition of a luxury resort. Betsy and the ladies got ready in the Presidential Wing, while Michael and the guys prepped in the historic portion of the hotel.
Family heirlooms blended together with forest bathing and bubbles, all designed to celebrate connection.
Betsy’s dad got the first first look, before her bridesmaids and before Michael. He not only walked her down the aisle, but he also officiated the wedding!
The weekend these two got married was one of the quietest we’ve ever seen at the Resort – it was like they had the entire place to themselves, and we made good use of it. The skies cooperated for first look so they could see each other and enjoy a few minutes together with the company of the only Presidential mountain range.
We had grand plans of portraits around the grounds, but Mother Nature had other ideas. These two absolutely refused to let a little rain spoil their wedding day fun – and thankfully Mount Washington Hotel has large covered porches which made an incredible plan B…we’re so lucky to be on Mount Washington Resort’s preferred vendor list, and so know this property intimately. This is a wedding venue where rain truly doesn’t matter.
The ceremony was held on the South Veranda so that guests and all could still enjoy the beautiful views, while protected from the elements. Ring bears started things off…
Not sure what I loved more – the personal vows they wrote for one another, the fact that Betsy’s dad married them, or the floral installation by The Fuchsia Peony…
Remember when I said guests traveled far and wide to celebrate with them? Well this is just a piece of their wedding party! Betsy & Michael did things differently, which I always love, and selected 36 friends to be their “party.” The wedding party stayed together in Bretton Arms, a smaller bed and breakfast on the Resort property…no matching outfits required.
While everyone else headed to Bretton Woods for mountaintop cocktails, we stole a few minutes for pictures. My favorite part was seeing these two fully enjoy each and every moment, taking it all in…
A quick gondola ride brought us to the top of Bretton Woods for their mountaintop wedding celebration at Rosebrook Lodge, a majestic mountain wedding venue perfect for destination weddings made easy – lodging and ceremony at the base, followed by dinner and dancing in the clouds.
Toasts, formal dances, dinner and then the dancefloor open real quick, thanks to Groovin’ You, a Wilson Stevens Band. They might just be the best band I’ve ever heard at a wedding, and they were just as lovely to work with.
Betsy & Michael’s wedding day at Omni Mount Washington Resort was perfection due to the careful coordination by the Omni team and the incredible Sorrell of Events by Sorrell. It was our first time working with her, and I highly recommend – lovely, organized and steered the ship seemingly effortlessly.
Congratulations Betsy & Michael!!!
We are obsessed!! These photos have made it so much fun to re-live the best day ever! Ya’ll captured the day perfectly and we are so grateful to have had you be a part of the best day of our lives!
Is it weird that I’m obsessed with them too?! Literally the best day and the best couple <3
