Every year, around September/October I start to get excited for my session with “the sisters.” I’ve been photographing them since I first opened my studio and its always hands-down one of my favorite sessions of the year. These two sisters are so much fun, and are such fashionistas thanks to the painstaking efforts of their mom to find the perfectly coordinated dresses in colors that match our ideas. We always come up with the BEST holiday card ideas, have a ton of silly fun, and create beautiful portraits for Christmas gifts too.

…But something’s been missing. We’ve talked about it, and I wasn’t sure it was going to happen this year until I got the call the day before. Mom and Dad would join in for family portraits! So our traditionally in-studio session started outside with mom and dad, and I couldn’t be more excited about the outcome. Oh, and we totally rocked the Christmas card again this year…
