Meg & Andy’s Connors Center Wedding

Today’s wedding feature is such a treat. Megan & Andy’s (or Megandy…I have an affinity for couples with together names…Ben and I together are Benica!) wedding was at The Boston College Connors Center. A total hidden gem available only to Boston College Alumni (right?), this gorgeous stone estate is hidden away in the quiet woods of Dover MA.

Megan’s girls are HILARIOUS. And fantastic storytellers…I listened to them relive the bachelorette and laughed right along with them.

Meanwhile, the guys hung in the library, a la college lounge.

Megan had the most feminine details and attire for her wedding day – her gown was flowing tulle and soft beading, and I loved her Badgley Mischka wedges.

The Connors Center has so much incredible stonework, and there’s a staircase leading down to the gardens that is purely magical. This is where we planned their first look, with Andy meeting his bride at the bottom of the staircase.

Some of my favorite moments during their portraits – M playing with her gown, advice from dad, and some of my favorite bridal portraits on the Connors Center grounds. Loves those arches!

The flowers by Shirley Minott were incredible!

The Connors Center has a chapel (let me clarify…air conditioned chapel!) onsite, which was one of the aspects that sold Megan & Andy on this gorgeous wedding venue. Wedding ceremony, reception and lodging all in one unique location, filled with character and charm.

Apps and featured cocktail first, then portraits.

We planned the timeline together to meet Megan & Andy’s goals. Portraits were very important to them, and so was spending time with family & friends. They were able to spend about an hour enjoying cocktail hour with their guests. And was really excited about the Reggae band they hired for cocktail hour and they did not disappoint. They were hands down incredible.

So I love their friends. Felt a little like we were guests at this one, between Megan & Andy’s warmth and generosity and their peoples’ friendliness.

Dinner and dancing was in a beautiful tent in the lower garden, and was MC’ed by one of our favorite DJs, Craig Harriman. If you want a DJ who can truly mix music and get the dance party started, he’s your guy. Also incredibly kind and easy to work with. And Megan and Andy definitely wanted to get the party started – they designed their timeline to get everyone up and having fun from the moment they finished their first dance.

They took a break from dancing for dinner, toasts and parent dances. And the celebration continued long into the night. Rumor has it, there may have been a late-night pinata. My kind of people.

You may recognize my beautiful bride Jean in the middle! We photographed her wedding last year at the Taj Boston Hotel and it was SUCH a treat to see her! Actually, if you look at her wedding highlight, you’ll see Megan & Andy! Love my BC couples.

Congratulations Megan & Andy!
