I am so excited to share Megan & Matt’s beautiful Cape Cod wedding at Willowbend today.
To use the words of our bride, this day was magic. The reason? Because of these two gracious humans, their parents and their favorite people. In the months, weeks & days leading up to their Mashpee wedding day, every interaction with Megan was beyond delightful. Every note sent shared her excitement about the day and working with us.
They’re those people who just make everyone feel important. On their wedding day, they greeted everyone—from their closest relatives to their Cape Cod Trolley driver Heather, with genuine joy & gratitude.
Their generous warmth made our jobs, as their Cape Cod wedding photographers & videographers, beyond easy.
They also had a professional beyond-adorable flower girl & babies!
When Megan I first chatted about her Cape Cod wedding at Willowbend last year, we talked about how we were both criers. She officially has me beat, with her “sweating from the eyes” tears that popped up throughout the day when moments were too much. Like the group hug that spontaneously happened during makeup with her mom, flower girl and twin baby girl nieces. Too perfect to hold back the tears…
Side note – shout out to Noelle & team from Makeup to Dye for. They were fantastic to work with and the ladies were flawless!
To start the day, we headed to Falmouth for pictures (& video) of the guys getting ready.
As a boy mom, I am always partial to the groom’s mama. I only hope to have the kind of connection Matt’s mom has with her boys.
Matt’s best man is also his identical twin brother. Mike was there for his brother throughout the day, helping him get suited up, and dropped a killer toast on the two of them during the reception at Willowbend Country Club.
Back to Mashpee, just down the road from the Popponesset Inn (a beautiful oceanfront wedding venue on Cape Cod!). Megan’s gorgeous Augusta Jones lace gown is from Kleinfeld and was worth the multiple trips to New York.
One of Megan’s wedding day priorities was to take time to share moments with each of her parents. All three wear their hearts on their sleeve, though Megan’s mom found a way—or a word, really—to leave the tears behind for the day!
I highly recommend Cape Cod Trolley for wedding day transportation on the Cape. I have to send big love to Dee, Megan’s MOH…she was there for anything and everything, helping me to corral people with me even asking for help. Dee, you are the best!
Megan & Matt’s Cape Cod wedding at Willowbend started at a full catholic wedding ceremony at Christ the King in Mashpee.
Father Ronan from their parish in Charlestown traveled to the Cape to marry these wo.
Megan & Matt enjoyed every moment of the day to the core. Whether stealing “alone” moments together, or sharing laughs & hugs with everyone so happy to be a part of their day. You’ll see this throughout their entire wedding highlight. From the shared glances during the ceremony, to laughs with gram during portraits, to the wild moves on the dance floor. They lived every. single. moment.
We headed to Popponesset Beach for family portraits & wedding party pictures.
Cathedral length veil bugging you? Make one epic shot & then ditch it!
Thank you to our talented second shooter CC for these gorgeous pictures on the jetty!
We made it to the final destination of their Cape Cod wedding at Willowbend! Willowbend Country Club is beyond gorgeous, with beautiful flowering trees, an impressive stone patio and my favorite – red barn & crushed shell walkway.
There are definite perks to being married to a Cape Cod wedding videographer… Ben created this aerial photograph of Willowbend cocktail hour on the patio for us! An otherwise impossible vantage point. 🙂
Willowbend is the perfect blend of stately & simple. The Cape Cod wedding venue in Mashpee has a ballroom that is elegant & bright, with large windows that let the natural light pour in as the party moved indoors.
Search Party Boston provided the music and did a fantastic job of packing the dance floor like we’ve never seen. You just wait.
If I had to choose one picture to sum up their entire wedding, it would be this one. A moment Megan doesn’t even know happened. In one glance, I see the strength in their relationship & the depth of his love for her.
Ok, its party time, people. Three special parent dances (she couldn’t forget her beautiful mom!) and then the dance floor busted open. Aggressive limbo, lifts & lots of sweating…something for everyone, courtesy of Search Party Boston band.
Megan & Matt, thank you for including us in your day. It truly was magic, and we hope our pictures & video come remotely close to how incredible special your wedding day was. Sincerely, your biggest fans!
Aaaand, a couple of behind the scenes…
