I’ve literally been looking forward to Rob & Killeen’s Glen Magna Farms wedding for a year. We had their ridiculously adorable engagement session at Lynch Park in Beverly last year and I’ve felt like I’ve had a countdown clock running since then. These two are the best. The best. They are fun, silly, sweet, and have awesome friends too (Josh & Rachel, love you guys!). I’ve been looking forward to shooting at Glen Magna Farms too – its a beautiful estate wedding venue on the North Shore with blooming gardens and much charm. So I’ll stop rambling, because I could go on and on here but I bet you want to get to the pictures…
Meanwhile the guys were just down the road at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel in Danvers. Couple of getting ready “tips” from the guys:
1. Test your wing span/soar height in your wedding day shirt and pants.
2. Grooms should control who smells good, and how good they smell.
3. Be sure to get the gold-chain-glam shot.
4. Don’t forget to take meaningful portraits with your groomsmen. And their new, shiny flasks.
5. Only drink good beer, and finally
6. Take a nap.
Back to the girls…now at Glen Magna Farms, here’s reason #578 of why I love Killeen. When the champagne bottle overflows, you of course drink from the bottle to stop the spill!
Killeen wanted to see her dad before she met Rob for their first look…I loved this moment as her proud dad came around the corner. And then escorted her to her almost-hubby.
Killeen cat-called Rob until he turned around and then they ran to each other. It was the cutest.
Since Rob & Killeen chose to have a first look, we finished all family and most wedding party formals before the ceremony. This frees them up to join their guests at cocktail hour after the ceremony.
I think this was supposed to be a blue steel shot, inspired by Rob’s brother and best man…though his blue steel was so intense I think it scared the rest of them away!
These two make each other laugh like no one else. Their portrait time together was so much fun, and we loved working alongside Lucent Films who captured their love on video. Seamless, fun, loving, happy. And the light under the willow tree was unreal.
Most of this wedding highlight is in color. Ok, possibly all of it is in color. But this image of Killeen looking at her love, so much happiness in her eyes, just had to be in black and white. This one gets me, and I love seeing these moments on the wedding day.
Killeen & Rob had their wedding ceremony in the garden at Glen Magna Farms. The light was beginning to soften as the sun dipped towards the tree line, and everything in the garden was in colorful bloom for their summertime wedding.
I wonder what they were whispering about here…I love her expression.
Champagne and Moscow Mules at the ready…my kind of cocktail hour!
I was looking for Rachel, one of my favorite 2014 brides, during cocktail hour. She spotted me first! She’s the cutest.
Their tent reception at Glen Magna was beautiful, lined with paper lanterns in shades of blush and garden-inspired centerpieces. Their band Hot Mess kept the place jumping from intros to the last song. Here are some of my favorite reception moments and details.
A new, WAY improved, take on the centerpiece dance…this still kills me.
Killeen & Rob, so much love to you both!
