Victoria + Matt’s Portland Engagement Session

Let’s celebrate Victoria and Matt’s engagement, starting with their Cape Elizabeth engagement session just outside Portland, Maine.

Victoria and I quickly bonded over our love of all things Portland after the incredible Paula at Marrero Events connected us, so it was an easy decision to plan a coastal Portland engagement session near the city. These two will be married at Cliff House in Ogunquit next summer, so the cliffs of Kettle Cove tie in nicely.

The weather was questionable leading up to the session. We dodged the rain and embraced the classic Maine fog, which gave their session a soft, dreamy feel.

The best way to celebrate an engagement, ESPECIALLY in 2020 when we all need good, happy, loving things to celebrate, is with an engagement session. Photography gives us the chance to create something tangible out of feelings we share. And we can take it on our phones, share with friends/family and most important, fill our home with our best memories through print.

These two are so lovely, and spending the evening with them was a treat. It was effortless conversation and lots of laughs as we explored the beautiful coastal park. And at the end? As if I didn’t adore them enough already, they surprised us with a gift card to The Holy Donut!

If you don’t know The Holy Donut, its time to plan a trip to Portland right this minute. Especially if you’re gluten free. Literally the world’s best donuts and at least 50% of the reason I love visiting Portland. That and Eventide Oyster Co. Eventide is my favorite. If Hot Lobster Soup is on the menu there, GET IT. Its one of the most delicious meals I’ve everrrr had. Also oysters every time. And we’re talking about food now, so I digress. But basically, they found the way to my heart through donuts.

Victoria + Matt, thank you for inviting us up to Maine and for sharing your time with us. We loved the night, hope you had the best time at dinner after, and are so excited to see you married at Cliff House in 2021!
