These Willowdale Estate wedding pictures will make you want to get married again. Or at least they did for me! Let me first introduce Sophie & Nick, two fellow college sweethearts. They fell in love at Bates, and what feels like a lifetime later, planned their wedding day at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield MA. They light up when they’re around one another, like at their absolutely magical Cape Cod engagement session here.
The day started at Willowdale’s sister property and new wedding venue & inn in Rowley MA, the Briar Barn Inn. So before we get to their Willowdale Estate wedding pictures, we’ll start with wedding preparation pictures at Briar Barn Inn!
Sophie planned a soft color palette that complimented Willowdale’s stately exterior and lush gardens beautifully. I love the mix of soft pinks and beiges in the bridesmaid gowns and flowers. Before we arrived, Nick & the guys enjoyed literally every room of Willowdale as he gave a tour of the historic wedding venue.
The flowers were by Bittersweet Gardens and were beyond beautiful. I am obsessed with her bouquet. They had me at peonies & eucalyptus.
Sophie & her sister helped her get ready once we were settled in the bridal suite at Willowdale. I didn’t realize it, but her mom heard about us from her friend & past MOH at Lindsay & Brian’s wedding at Liberty Hotel! So shout out to Jenni–thank you, beautiful mama, for linking us!
I loved the details of Sophie’s Willowby gown. She had three (or more) layers of soft delicate lace in the train.
Sophie & Nick are already lovely individually, but they have a truly magical chemistry when they are together. Sophie lights up when she sees Nick, and Nick’s eyes shine when she’s around. Just like at their engagement session, the best moments were the ones when we just let them be.
Thank you to this crew for being so much fun to work with, and for inviting Ben and I into your circle of trust for the day! We laughed so hard with all of you.
In Jewish tradition, Nick & Sophie had a Ketubah signing prior to their marriage ceremony. Led by Sophie’s mom, she read their Ketubah and invited everyone to pour wine for the ceremony and share wishes with the couple before their marriage. Their Willowdale Estate wedding ceremony was in the courtyard under the bistro lights and twisted ivy.
Ummmm. Yeay for Willowdale. Signature drinks ready and waiting for EVERYONE. Well done.

These two win for the cutest Willowdale Estate wedding pictures during their reception entrance. So happy! Music by the AMAZING Kahootz Band kept the vibe up all night.
While everyone enjoyed dinner, we slipped away for maybe a total of 5 minutes so these two could breath and we could get some iconic red door Willowdale Estate wedding pictures before the soft evening light disappeared.
BEST CAKE CUTTING EVER. They weren’t sure if they wanted a public or private cake cutting, and finally decided, let’s just do it. Tucked away in the garden with their parents, it was so much fun. Everyone got into it! And by it, I mean the cake!!
Dancing quickly exploded…from first dance, to parent dances that flowed into a family dance and immediately PACKED DANCE FLOOR even before the Hora. Kudos to Kahootz Band and their family & friends. I’m going to leave you here to journey through the rest of the night. Congratulations Sophie & Nick. What a day. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of it!
