There’s something magical about starting the wedding day in the home you grew up in – momentos from childhood, family wedding portraits, and the comfort that comes with “home.”
This is how Kate’s day started in Western Mass, before she headed to her Red Barn Amherst wedding to meet her love.
The guys stayed closer to The Red Barn, and after some carefully-eaten pizza, hopped a shuttle to get Jan there in time for his first look with his love.
Their chemistry is beautiful, and portraits were easy. Some of Kate’s favorite times with Jan are their walks, filled with talk and laughter. We completed all of their formal portraits and had time for the two of them to indulge in each other before it was time for their ceremony, under the big Oak tree.
It was important to K&J to spend as much time as possible with their friends & family, so we planned their timeline so they could attend their entire cocktail hour under the tent.

Congratulations, Kate & Jan, and cheers to your next adventure together!
Ahh these are so pretty! So glad I looked up Kate’s wedding, it was a total treat to work with her & her gals. Thank you so much for sharing the joy!
