Tim + Taylor’s Black Tie Wedding in Cambridge MA

From dances at Assumption College to dancing along the Charles River in Cambridge at their Royal Sonesta Boston wedding, Tim & Taylor are without a doubt, partners for life. And when you see the dance party on, you know they’re in for a fun ride.

The wedding was black tie with a touch of gold – I love the invitations by Minted, which looked so custom!

Here’s the crew for the day at Royal Sonesta in Cambridge. Umm. Gorgeous happy people, beautiful light, excellent wardrobe and 1 out of 2 kids smiling. YES!

While the ladies lunched, we headed over to visit with Tim and the guys. Ben and I provided both photo & video for Tim and Taylor, which means we work the day pretty much side by side, collaborating as a team. I love these days!

Tim’s dad helped him get ready and his two brothers were his best men. Taylor’s sister popped down to deliver a card & gift from Taylor. I love this moment, as she looked on with tears in her eyes as her future brother in law read the sweet words from her sister.

Taylor’s turn. This woman is a powerhouse of awesome. She’s gorgeous, super kind and a successful dentist. Tim heard throughout the day just how lucky he is, but we all know they both are.

Realizing your flower girl/3yo niece is posing for a picture while you’re getting into your wedding gown! lol #princess

Royal Sonesta Hotel has one of the best views of Boston. Tim & Taylor planned to see each other before their wedding ceremony, and their first look location was an easy decision.

Self-declared ugly criers (fellow ugly crier here!), they simultaneously lived the emotion AND hid it well!

Tim & Taylor’s wedding ceremony was at St. Mary St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Charlestown. They live in–and love–Charlestown, so getting married here was important to them. Plus, Father Ronan is a bit of a legend.

To the place they got engaged! After the ceremony, we headed to Bunker Hill Monument Park for portraits. Dress carrying courtesy of her hunky bridesman.

When we returned to the Royal Sonesta, the sunlight was soft and the walk along the Charles was quiet. These two enjoyed cocktail hour and headed outside for a couple of minutes of quiet time (and pictures!) while their guests headed into the ballroom for the evening festivities.

Again, they really nailed it with the black, white and gold wedding color palette! Their gorgeous ballroom was thanks to the hard work of Sabrina & team at Royal Sonesta & Poppy Floral with the beautiful centerpieces. I LOVE the crystal accents, gold chargers and chiavari chairs.

Tim & Taylor invited their parents and wedding party to join them on the dancefloor after their first dance together. But mostly we all just watched how adorable they are together.

Assumption love! And about that dance party I mentioned earlier…

Side note – for anyone who thinks engagement sessions are just for save the dates, I’m so happy to tell you there’s so much more you can/should be doing with these pictures!

One of our favorite ways to celebrate a couple’s relationship is by blending pre-wedding engagement pictures with messages of support left by your favorite people on your wedding day! We often don’t get to see the “finished product” on these engagement guest books, so I was thrilled to see Tim & Taylor’s, which was COMPLETELY filled from cover to cover with love. This becomes a keepsake you’ll want to display in your home FOREVER.

And back to the dance party…

Nope, they’re not Jewish. This isn’t the Hora. It’s a WICKED fun tradition that Tim and his college buddies have. Here’s how it goes…through on “Pop That” (cred: French Montana) and bounce around with the bride and groom for the most insane dance everrrr. Especially impressive since Tim has got to be close to 6’5″!

Epic Entertainment Boston is already one of our favorite DJs in the Boston area thanks to Sheldon. Adding John to our list was an easy decision after this. Well done, J. Well done.

To Taylor & Tim: It was extraordinarily hard to choose my favorites for your highlight. There were so many beautiful moments & portraits. Thank you for sharing your day with us, and thank you for your patience as this took a bit longer than our usual (on account of our family Disney trip!). Oh and also, get excited for so much more to come! xoxo.
