The Boston Public Library tops the charts for epic wedding venue locations in New England.
It’s one of our favorites in downtown Boston for its location in Copley Square, for its outdoor courtyard with elegant fountain centerpiece, and for its stately indoor decor. It’s luxury, timeless and has a European feel that makes it a perfect location for couples planning a sophisticated, elegant wedding in Boston, especially if their guests are traveling from all over the globe to join them, like Jenina and Nic.
The day started at the Newbury Hotel where Jenina celebrated with her best friends and their sweet mamas. Hair and makeup by flou(-e)r.
Nic was just down the road, across from the Boston Public Gardens at a brownstone they rented for the guys, which had plenty of space for this big wedding party and a cool rooftop space.
We planned their first look on the Commonwealth Mall, a more private alternative to the Boston Public Gardens. Then took a walk through the park together before heading to Copley Square for wedding portraits, on the iconic steps of the Boston Public Garden with their family and entire wedding party. This was a big group, but everyone was ready and happy to listen. Once portraits were complete outside, we headed inside to prepare for their courtyard wedding ceremony.
While they had nearly 200 guests, the ceremony felt intimate, officiated by a best friend with private vows and close proximity to guests. This space is spectacular for an outdoor city wedding in Boston. Cocktail hour followed in the courtyard before everyone headed to the Bates Hall for dinner and toasts.

The party got started after a luxurious dinner, with the dance floor officially kicking off at the end of Jenina’s dance with her father. She removed the wide train to her gown to reveal a sleeker party dress she could dance in! Wilson Stevens Band kept the dance floor going until the end of this incredible international wedding at the Boston Public Library. Congratulations to Jenina & Nic!
