A Dreamy Winter Wedding at Mount Washington Resort

Our last “big” wedding of 2020 was at Omni Mount Washington Resort in the White Mountains – one of our most favorite (and epic) New England wedding venues!

The drive up to the Mount Washington Hotel is spectacular. The view above stops me in my tracks each and every time.

Michaela + Tim traveled from their home in Florida to this iconic New Hampshire destination for their dream winter wedding. It was literally picture perfect, as I would have expected from a Disney wedding planner! Yep, Michaela plans weddings for brides getting married at Walt Disney World, so I knew she’d have an impeccable eye and a great vision.

Tim is quiet + kindhearted, and his guys were, too. It was hilarious walking from the calm of their room to the excitement of Michaela and her bridesmaids – and yes, she is getting serenaded by all of her best gal pals right here.

Time for love notes and that Custom Casablanca gown! Long-sleeve gowns should be mandatory for winter brides. They’re just so elegant!

Michaela got dressed with the help of her mom (and Alexa, because of course one of her besties would work conveniently at a dress shop!) and wanted a big reveal with her girls. Laughs, gasps + tears…she got it all! And then more love + tears when she saw her dad privately before the ceremony.

Michaela’s 8 ladies are the heroes of the day. They braved an outdoor wedding ceremony…in December…in the White Mountains…in heels, without wraps or even sleeves. They did it because they love their girl, and wanted to help make her winter wonderland wedding dreams come true. Lexi, her MOH, just kept saying “We want this day to be magical for Michaela.” And so they did!

Marjorie + her team at Omni Mount Washington Resort transformed the Presidential Ballroom to create the most elegantly cozy winter wedding tablescape featuring the floral design work of Sarah at The Fuchsia Peony. You saw her work on our blog for Kendra + Pat’s midstate Maine wedding here, and now a COMPLETELY different yet equally stunning look here, with evergreens and candles and flower runners on every table. The warm amber uplighting was provided by Pink Tie Productions.

I think Michaela is a great example of a bride with a vision – she set her focus on creating a picture-perfect winter wedding, and she made it happen! Not sure if she vision-boards, but I guarantee if she did, it was full of pictures of evergreen bouquets and the most gorgeous wintery gown, pink noses and snow-capped mountains.
