Amy + Mike’s Coonamessett Cape Cod Wedding – Falmouth MA

One of our favorite wedding planners in the Boston & Cape Cod area is Candlewood Events. Sara is phenomenal at her craft, at making people feel at ease AND matchmaking. She knows the right vendors for each couple, and she knew Amy & I would be a great match. Mike & Ben too, of course. lol.

And so here is the story of Amy & Mike’s Coonamessett Cape Cod wedding day in Falmouth MA.

Gorgeous custom invitation suite by RSVP Hingham. Adorable setting by The Coonamessett, and in-process hair & makeup by the one and only Love Notes by June!

Bittersweet Gardens NAILED it with the bouquets. And they left me a few extra stems to style Amy’s details with so I double love them.

Amy & her ladies got ready in an on-property cottage – she had a beautiful mix of new & heirloom. I loved photographing her details – Amy had everything ready for me in the side room and also…look at all the natural light!

What I really loved about the day were the people. Amy & Mike were both so inviting, and all of their friends and family were too. (Oh hey, Liz!) I adore her mom & dad, and I also appreciate how much A+M value family. You could see it in everything they did that day.

These portraits may or may not have been taken directly next to a dumpster. Thank you for trusting me, ladies!

The beauty is in the little moments…

How to photograph family portraits with high sun and lots of parking lot: find the one 5 foot backlit patch ideally with a pleasing backdrop…OR GORGEOUS RED TREE! This little area was a wedding-day win. And then we were off to Bristol Beach.

These next 3 images are some of my favorites of the day. I LOVE the last black and white picture of Amy.

Back to the Coonamessett for their Cape Cod wedding reception, with cocktails and group portraits on the deck before dinner & dancing in the ballroom.

Get ready to be instantly obsessed with Amy & Mike’s flowers. The talent of Bittersweet Gardens has me all lovey-eyed over the centerpieces. That color combination, plus eucalyptus. #swooning

The brothers gave the sweetest toasts, and guests enjoyed an insanely yummy four course meal as the sun went down. And thank you to The Coonamessett for also serving US the full meal. This is a rare treat, and we were thrilled! That butternut squash bisque though. Guess who will be happily sharing pictures with you…THIS GIRL! 🙂

Dancing, polariods & cake by Delicious Desserts finished off the night.

Amy & Mike, we’re so glad the day worked out so beautifully for you and we had a blast working with you! Enjoy, and more to come. 🙂
