I have so many beautiful newborn sessions to share – as a Beacon Hill Newborn Photographer, I’m officially committing to blogging more in 2025 so expecting families can find me easily.

Our unique approach to newborn photography in Boston brings together the luxury of printed photographs with the ease of in-home sessions.

This in-home session on Beacon Street is an instant favorite for two reasons: first, I had the pleasure of photographing Lily & Adam’s wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel and second, because of all the gorgeous natural light their home has!

We started with maternity, clearly…maternity portraits are a beautiful time to celebrate life when it’s still just the two of you…or in this case, with their first ‘baby’ – their sweet dog Scout!

Lily has a great design eye, and had a distinct vision for this session (which is not required, but can be a lot of fun!). She wanted a more dramatic, studio-vibes shoot…and I mixed in a few lifestyle portraits that they loved and added to their album.

And then baby arrives!

As a Beacon Hill Newborn Photographer, many of our families have dogs and ask about including them in their newborn sessions.

We discuss pup’s temperament and safety around baby, and plan accordingly. I loved the results with their newborn baby and dog.

Newborn Sessions are scheduled within the first two weeks of birth. It is really difficult to prep for a session and pack up a new baby, especially in downtown Boston, which is why in-home newborn sessions are worth their weight in gold. Our clients love that we closed our studio storefront and transitioned to 100% in-home!

There are two key steps to any newborn session, in Beacon Hill and beyond, and that’s designing artwork to ensure this moment is honored and preserved, and installing that artwork in-home.
