Bena & Matt’s Skaneateles Tent Wedding is one of my favorites from 2024 for so many reasons.

Bena & Matt envisioned a full wedding weekend with their friends & family, from a pizza truck to lawn games, to waterfront ceremony and tent reception. We were especially honored to be there photographing the baby sister of one of our favorite couples, Steph & Dakota, who got married at Cliff House in Maine in 2019. Since then we’ve photographed Steph & Dakota’s first baby, and Matt & Bena’s proposal in Boston’s Seaport District.

We happily headed in from Boston to capture Bena & Matt’s Finger Lakes wedding weekend in Skaneateles, planned by the incredible team at Celebrated Events in Rochester who transformed Lourdes Camp into a luxury glamp.

Matt & Bena rented two separate houses for preparation, with plenty of room for all to relax and get ready.

The bouquets by Jenn Sticks & Stems were colorful and organic, exactly what Bena wanted! With a quick goodbye to Blu, she headed over to Matt’s AirBNB for first looks with her dad and Matt.

The toughest part of photographing a summer wedding is finding pockets of flattering, diffused light for mid-day portraits (to avoid the harsh glare). I got so lucky with this spot!! Portrait time is a beautiful opportunity for private moments with your closest family & friends.
