Brittni + Greg’s Backyard Wedding in Central Mass

Ben and I have known Brittni for years now, as partners behind the scenes at weddings – she was the Event Manager at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, and we’ve had the pleasure of photographing there (thanks to her and Yen’s recommendation) many times. We work as a team, so it was a total honor when she invited us to be a part of her wedding day, to capture HER day on the “other side.”

Original plans were a downtown city wedding at the Providence G (which has an amazing rooftop space – see Dave + Julie’s wedding here!), but Covid changed that. However, these two have been together for just shy of one million years (since college!) and refused to wait one more minute. They changed plans and got married at her parents’ home where she grew up. I love the Covid card they sent friends who received the original save the date but would not be able to make the wedding with the new restrictions.

Greg waited patiently for Brittni in the backyard (ok, patient but sweating because it was over 50 degrees, lol). When he saw her, he grabbed her face and kissed her long and hard. For these two non-PD-peeps, this was so sweet to watch.

They lit up when they saw each other, but they both knew it was just the appetizer to their main meal…seeing their sweet Saydie in her floral collar! I’m pretty sure this was the highlight of their day. #obsessedpuppyparents

Their crew…

Married in the front yard, they moved to the backyard after family portraits to celebrate under a gorgeous tent, made possible by Pranzi Events + Catering. Tower Hill’s Event Manager and dear friend Yen was onsite to help make sure this backyard wedding in Central Mass went flawlessly for Brittni. And it did!

The underlying current of the day was really the closeness of the people who were there. Brittni + Greg are so close with their family, and their best friends are more than friends to them – they’re family, too. Brittni’s best friends’ kids call her Auntie Brit, and she honored each of them with a role in the wedding, gifts before, and a seat in her lap during the slideshow their sweet mamas created for them. This picture, to me, captured the bubble of love and support that this extended family has created for them.

Brittni + Greg, we loved spending the day with the two of you and your favorite people. And we were happily surprised to see all the kissing throughout the day! Hahaha – congrats, you two. xoxo.
