Dave & Julie’s Providence G Wedding

If you planned a 2016 wedding in New England, odds are the weather was pretty fantastic. Record-low rain hasn’t been good for our lawns, but it has been delightful for weddings. The dry streak ended on Julie & Dave’s wedding day, but I’m still in awe at how little the weather impacted their amazing wedding day.

We started at the Omni Hotel in downtown Providence, where Dave & Julie got ready for their Providence G wedding. This hotel is one of the best in the city, with spacious, bright rooms and a connection to the Convention Center. Which suited us perfectly for their first look.

These two light up when they’re with each other. They are just so right for one another, and their connection seems so easy.

Julie & Dave’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Providence G, a swanky boutique venue in downtown Providence. I cannot even begin to describe what a gift this venue is. There’s a greenhouse-style rooftop bar and terrace that let in the most incredible light for portraits. If you’ve ever heard overcast is best for pictures, you heard right. And they got to enjoy the soft, sweet filtered light without the rain.

We actually had some extra time before the ceremony, and Julie & Dave’s wedding party was up for a more styled group shot. Here’s what we came up with…

The Ballroom at the Providence G was set beautifully for an elegant wedding ceremony. Marble floors, high ceilings, beautiful moulding and crystal chandeliers. The Providence G ballroom is spectacular.

Their friend Josh, who is also the man who unofficially brought them together (in Austin, TX), married Julie & Dave in a sweet ceremony with personal vow exchanges…

Providence G Rooftop for cocktail hour, giving Pranzi Catering & Events the ability to transform the ballroom for their wedding reception, and gave ENCORE, an insanely talented Wilson Stevens Band, time to get ready for the celebration.

Congratulations Dave & Julie!!!
