today’s love story:
Cait & Kevin’s Church Landing Wedding | Meredith NH
and all the magical moments that made it
Today’s feature is one I’m so excited to share, from Cait & Kevin’s Church Landing wedding in Meredith NH!
August came in like a lion…and left like a lion. It was a HARD month for productivity over here at The Ewings. From the good stuff–like a week-long family vacation on Lake Champlain–to the tough stuff like extremely limited child care and my laptop (aka my security blanket) dying. September is here, kids are in school, new laptop is in effect and we’re slowly getting back on track!
With that said, I am so excited to focus on the good stuff, first with Cait & Kevin’s wedding on Lake Winnipesaukee! We’ve been by this wedding venue so many times, and even attended a wedding at Mill Falls, the sister property, but this was our first visit to Church Landing. We were especially excited about this wedding because we photographed Cait’s brother Billy’s wedding at Gibbet Hill a few years ago and had a blast with their family & friends.
Meet Cait! She’s funny & kind & so laid back. She grew up going to Lake Winnipesaukee with her family, so when it came time to plan their boho wedding, Church Landing was an easy decision, right on the lake they love so much.
Look at these adorable bags she picked out for her bridesmaids! Rosé all day for this girl.
Meet Kevin! He’s literally the nicest guy you’ll ever meet (echoed throughout all of the toasts and sentiment shared throughout the day). And he was so so happy to marry his best friend.
We planned a private first look & portraits on the back lawn that overlooks the lake before heading to the front of the hotel for family and wedding party portraits. Church Landing has so many great photo opps thanks to the location, hotel design and landscaping.
Flowers by Lakes Region Florist. LOVE!
Kevin & Cait’s wedding ceremony was outside on the back lawn at Church Landing. The skies looked a bit ominous, but they held out so the ceremony could continue outside as planned!
I love that you can see all of their parents in this photograph.
Kevin’s little brother and best man carried the rings to each set of parents and all of the wedding attendants so everyone had a chance to bless them. This was the first time I’ve seen this during a wedding ceremony and I loved it!
Married! And then off to celebrate with their favorite people. Big shout out to this BIG wedding party. They were so awesome, helping to move chairs, collaborate on vision and make this happen. We got it done surprisingly fast so everyone could head on over to cocktail hour. Thanks guys!
Kevin & Cait’s wedding reception was in the ballroom at Church Landing. I loved all of their boho wedding details, from books with quotes to candles galore and brilliant multi-purposing of the bouquets.
The dance floor opened the moment these two arrived at the party…from first dance to dance party. Pretty much as I expected it would go!
As if this day couldn’t get any more incredible, Cait’s dad had a special treat planned for the end of the night…FIREWORKS! That rain I mentioned, that held off for their ceremony, arrived full strength just as guests poured out of the ballroom and into the tent. Thank goodness for that tent! The show went on as planned and was incredible. And even more incredibly, these two happily stood in the rain for pictures and video (by the talented Latimer Studios).
Cait & Kevin, thank you so much for including us in your day. It meant the world to be there with you and your families, and we had such a blast from start to finish. xoxo.
