I love following a family through their life journey – like these two, Jillian & Matt. By now, these beautiful people are like family. And there’s still so much more to go!
Today’s post is about their Concord Maternity & Newborn Portrait Photographer session (by me!).
We photographed their engagement in Charlestown, Cape Cod wedding at Wequasset Resort, maternity portraits in Concord MA, and most recently, their newborn session at our natural light newborn photography studio in Bolton MA.
Here’s a showcase of their favorite maternity & newborn pictures, which they selected for an 8×8 Portrait Album. We’re also planning a large gallery wall for their home with framed, printed portraits from each milestone we’ve photographed in their life to date!
My number one goal when photographing anyone—but especially new mamas who’s body has changed so incredibly—is to make sure they’re comfortable in front of my camera, to be present in the moment and express the love they share with one another and with their new baby.
Printing is so often overlooked when planning a portrait session.
The focus is always on capturing the moment. We love that instant gratification—whether from a photographer or on our own phone—and feel so fulfilled at the love and magic of our family. But then we move on to the next “thing.” That perfect capture becomes a distant memory, something we always mean to “do something with” but never quite found the time to. Until it becomes completely forgotten or lost.
Printing ensures our memories stay alive, preserved for our children to enjoy. Its their journey, and its our love for them that has to make sure we preserve it right for them.
