Dan & Meagan’s Gibbet Hill Castle Wedding

Imagine a summer wedding at a hilltop stone castle ruin, covered in ivy and bathed in sunlight. Sounds pretty magical, right? Meagan & Dan can tell you that it was. Get ready to enjoy their GORGEOUS wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill’s hidden gem…

But first, we started at Meagan’s parents’ home, where she grew up. Starting with makeup and snuggles with their beloved greyhound.

Ben started the day with the guys, getting ready in Littleton, just down the road from Gibbet Hill in Groton.

I love this picture. The love and pride in Dan’s father’s eyes – its the look/feeling only a parent truly understands.

Meagan had her final preparations at Gibbet Hill. It is the ultimate rustic-meets-elegant wedding venue for brides looking for class and country, style and grace. The grounds are gorgeous and the food is incredible.

The road to the Castle Ruins that overlooks Gibbet Hill is not paved. It is bumpy and beautiful and unique. It was a surprise to their guests, who arrived and were greeted by drivers who escorted friends and family to the private hilltop ceremony location.

There is no place quite like this. No wedding quite like theirs.

The perfect details, flowers by one of our favorite florists – Les Fleur, and an incredible choreographed first dance started off the night in The Barn at Gibbet Hill. Soon followed by tearful toasts filled with love and sentiment for Meagan & Dan before the two hit the dancefloor.

I love the way the last of the day’s light fell on them as they danced across the floor. Just the two of them while their friends and family happily enjoyed their first course.

Dinner was done, Meagan shared a dance with her dad and Dan shared a dance with his mom. And then the band welcomed an honorary band member, this handsome little guy who had a song all to himself to officially open the dancefloor. Love and laughter, and really, really good music.
