Megan & Ryan’s Wentworth by the Sea Wedding

Megan & Ryan are better together. And their Wentworth By The Sea wedding in Portsmouth NH was so completely charmed because of it. Forecast called for rain right up until the day before, yet the skies were clear and blue when the day came. Every wish they spoke miraculousy happened. Like, hey I really wish someone had a key to the marina, and moments later a woman and her 2 kiddos show up with a key. From where? No idea. Just appeared. Then while we’re on boardwalk by the boats, a most gracious couple offered their boat for pictures. You’re probably getting the idea.

Better together and so totally deserving of wonderful things on their wedding day and beyond. So here’s a glimpse into their incredibly beautiful, incredibly fun seaside wedding day.

Megan has a kindred spirit named Colleen. The two of them are besties and I can see why – Colleen was Megan’s rock throughout the day. They’re adorable in every way.

Ryan couldn’t hide his excitement at seeing Megan for the very first time at the other end of the aisle.

The moments I love most during Catholic ceremonies are the peace exchange and communion. The bride and groom can take a breath and show their excitement and appreciation for each other, their parents and their wedding party.

After the ceremony they thanked their guests – including many first grade students from Megan’s class who came to cheer her on. They were so excited for a picture with Mrs. Murphy!

Newcastle Commons in New Castle NH is a beautiful location for wedding portraits. We hopped out for a few seaside portraits along the rocky beach while everyone else celebrated on the trolley.

Love their reaction the first time they heard someone (me!) call Megan “Ryan’s wife”…so cute!

These two are blessed with wonderful families!

We headed to the marina for wedding party pictures. I’m head over heels for both the bridal party portraits AND the ladies themselves. A truly wonderful group of warm, inviting women. And all so beautiful!

The guys didn’t do so bad either. 🙂

Reflections of love! Excited inspiration comes in odd places throughout the wedding day – this was one of mine. Megan, I love that you thought of this on your honeymoon for your own sunglass shot!

After we finished with wedding party pictures, it was time for just Megan & Ryan.

That moment when they get to catch their breath and soak it all in. Their beautiful wedding day. Their love. Everything, better together.

Ok friends. This is what professional uplighting and pin lighting does for your wedding reception venue. This picture of the ballroom at Wentworth By The Sea was shot without any of our lights. This is what the room looked like. Stunning.

Megan & Ryan’s first dance was to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson. Coincidentally the same song that Ben and I danced our first dance to 8 years ago. It was perfect.

“Better Together” is inscribed in their rings! I totally wish Ben & I had thought of it.

Everyone needs a signature cocktail! They had two – the Megarita or the Murph & Stormy

After the formalities were finished and dinner was cleared, it was party time. Big Party Orchestra time, that is! These guys were awesome.

Erica, you took some outstanding photos that captured a tremendous part of their wedding for them. Again, they are outstanding, & I love the personal touch written below some of them. Thank you.
