Claire and Ben’s Nantucket Estate tent wedding was nothing short of perfection.

After a week straight of rain, these two were blessed with sunshine and unseasonably warm weather, from rehearsal dinner at Lemon Press in the heart of the island’s cobblestone downtown, to their gorgeous Nantucket wedding day at their family estate.

Claire has a flare for timeless fashion and style, so I wasn’t surprised that she was interested in film photography. She asked me simply if I’ve ever shot with film, and it started a great conversation. That’s how I first got interested in photography – in the darkroom, developing my own film at Clark University while I finished up my business degree. I thought about it for a bit, and it renewed this passion for film. This highlight is all digital, but film will follow soon. I just got the scans back and they’re beautiful, even before edits!

Claire is super thoughtful in everything she does, and is an incredible gift giver! She spent a sweet moment with the moms before her sister (and lifelong best friend!) helped her get into her gown. And these cuties waited in the hallway, ready to see their best girl!

Meanwhile, Ben and the guys got ready together outside because it was that gorgeous out. He was quick and out the door in the adorable yellow 1968 Land Rover, on time for his oceanfront first look with Claire at Sconset Beach. A moment just for them…

And an unexpected moment with dad! He was too excited, he had to see her!!

Since this was a Jewish wedding, Claire and Ben started the formalities with a traditional Ketubah signing in the study at their Nantucket Estate tent wedding. Their family and sponsors attended – and even their sweet furbaby made an appearance!

The florals by Flowers on Chestnut were breathtaking – this is the most spectacular Chuppah I’ve ever seen. After their outdoor wedding ceremony, these two enjoyed a few moments alone, another Jewish tradition I love, before joining their friends and family by the pool for cocktail hour…with the LARGEST sushi boat I’ve ever seen…

An then there was the tent. Oh the tent! This entire day was run so smoothly by Lindsay of PPX Events. The tent, the linens, chairs, all of it… and florals from Flowers on Chestnut came together so beautifully to create an elegant, classic, inviting atmosphere for their favorite people to gather and enjoy.

And then the party started before these two were even in the room, thanks to the energy of The Broadway Project band. The dance floor was PACKED…while Claire and Ben waited outside to be introduced in! I was floored by the excitement and energy…

I cannot say enough about these two beautiful people, their family and friends who welcomed us in so completely, and the absolute perfect mix of elegance, warmth and straight FUN that this day was. It was magic, and we were there for all of it. Wedding film to come soon. xoxo Claire + Ben!!
