Sweet Family of 3 | Bolton Family Photographer

This gorgeous mama reached out to me for a session in Bolton MA with her family. These were their family’s first portraits since the arrival of their new little love, and the session was specifically to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday.

We scheduled a mid-November session, which sometimes means sunny days with 60 degree temps…orrrrr it can mean overcast days with 40 degree temps. The weather during our session was closer to the second, so what do you do when portrait day is chilly?

Bring a blanket, plan for snuggles and also warm-up-in-the-car breaks! When parents keep it fun, the kids have fun and the energy during the family portrait session is great. These two sweet parents did just that, and baby girl followed suit!

Another suggestion for parents with a toddler: let them roam!

During our sessions, baby is boss. She was ready to crawl and explore and was happiest when we let her do just that!
