A romantic Wright’s Mill wedding in the woods of CT

I’m so excited to share Zainub and Elliott’s Wright’s Mill Farm wedding, deep in the woods of Canterbury CT. When I asked Zainub about her vision for the wedding, she said “elegantly woodsy” and I loved that. I’d also say the day delivered exactly that and beyond.

Zainub envisioned a wedding day at Wright’s Mill Farm that was relaxed. She got ready with her mom and sisters in the suite onsite at the Farm, with hair and makeup by Ali Lomazzo Beauty. While she got ready, I got to play with her details – if flowers are a priority, ask your florist for a small bunch of stems for details styling. It makes all the difference and this wedding was a treat because Z’s incredible florist at Bloom gave me the most incredible bunch of flowers!

I first met Elliott at his best bud Dakota and Steph’s Cliff House wedding in Ogunquit. He’s reserved and kind, and surrounded by friends and family who just adore him…same as Zainub!

I have so many good things to say about Wright’s Mill Farm – this wedding venue was sprawling and beautifully-maintained…but not overly manicured. It felt like a magical little spot in the middle of the woods. The service and food was top-notch.

Zainub and Elliott met in San Diego, and their close friend Alex from the West Coast officiated the wedding. They shared public vows and the sweetest moments. It’s through their vows that I truly began to understand their level of connection.

Wright’s Mill Farm is a modern farm wedding venue, and the soft and simple centerpieces gave the space a romantic feel.

Toasts galore that absolutely showered these two in love, before dinner and dancing.
