Charlie & Nicole’s Garden Wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn

Get ready for one of the loveliest, most photogenic weddings we’ve ever captured…Charlie & Nicole’s absolutely picture-perfect wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn.

Zukas is a gorgeous garden & barn wedding venue tucked into the hills of Central Mass, and is near and dear to our hearts. Ben and I were married there ourselves 10 years ago!

Gorgeous invitations by Delaney Monroe Designs.

When I met Nicole & Charlie to go over details a few weeks earlier, she told me she read pretty much every one of our wedding posts, and took all of my tips into account. You’ll be able to tell with the pictures. Details were ready when I arrived and a fresh bunch of flowers waited – courtesy of Ladyslippers Floral.

Nicole is a princess. She had grace and style, and from the moment I saw her, stunning and smiling, I knew today would be a great day.

Charlie and his fellas! This guy is one of the friendliest, warmest guys you’ll meet. He is welcoming and sentimental and fun, and he looooves his craft beer. Bissel Brothers all around!

Before Nicole left to meet Charlie for their first look, she had to see her dad. The love these two have from their parents is incredible, and so important to them.

Nicole & Charlie are beautiful together – they needed zero direction. They just loved and laughed and whispered together while we walked the fields at Zukas before their outdoor ceremony, which Nicole’s stepdad would be officiating.

Nicole & Charlie’s first stop as a married couple? Bissell Beer! We snuck away and they enjoyed it. The sun, the quiet, the beer…then to cocktail hour to spend time with their favorite people.

They came out to White Wedding by Billy Idol (LOVE!) and danced to Van Morrison. And like the rest of the day, their dance was perfect, and sweet and they were totally in the moment.

During dinner, Nicole & Charlie cut their cake privately. Without announcement, there was no pressure. They didn’t feel like they had to get it right, or do it quickly, or only each eat one piece really! They had their cake and ate it too. hehe, couldn’t resist.

Just before sunset, we headed outside for a break and some soft light pictures. And here’s why its called the Golden Hour. My favorite time of the day.

Back in the tent, the party was ready. Nicole shared a dance with her dad and stepdad before Charlie danced with his mom.

And these two! Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid, these sisters totally reminded me of the adorable Doublemint Twins!

Nicole & Charlie, your day was incredible. I loved every moment (and every picture) from the first to the last. The two of you are a special breed, and Ben and I appreciate you so much. We also appreciated our to-go pack of Bissell Brothers! Cheers to many, many more, friends. xoxo.
