This was kind of an exciting week for Jessie & Sam. They just bought a new house – as in, literally closed on Wednesday – and had their petite engagement session on Friday. Pretty big week right there! What’a petite engagement session? It’s a session designed for couples who want beautiful, professional pictures that express who they are as a couple, or get the in-front-of-the-camera experience before the wedding day, but may not want the full engagement session experience. We keep it simple with one outfit, 20 minutes, and a beautiful location within 15 miles of our studio. In Jessie & Sam’s case, Stillwater Farm in Sterling was a great option – and one of my favorite little hidden gems – for their personal style and also to match their venue. Jessie & Sam are getting married at the beautiful Harrington Farm next summer, so we stuck with the rustic charm of barns and fields.

These two are incredibly sweet and seemed immediately at home together in front of my camera. Here are a few of my favorites. Oh and also, she totally looks like a young Madonna to me! The classy young Madonna. If there was such a thing. Anyways, enjoy!
