Our first wedding of 2022 was an absolute vision of perfection for anyone brave enough to plan a White Mountains Wedding in New England…in March.
Danielle + Mick’s wedding was at one of our favorite venues – Omni Mount Washington Resort which is my home away from home, just slightly bigger…and fancier.
Get excited, it’s time for Danielle + Mick’s wedding highlight!
We started with Mick and his guys in the historic part of the hotel. He is genuinely kind and so easy to be around. Almost all of the guys have been best friends since they were kids. Mick’s tie was wow, just WOW. Handmade from Brackish, they incorporate feathers from peacocks, guineas, and pheasants. Moving over to ladies getting ready in the new presidential suite, which is absolutely spectacular. From the natural lighting, wallpaper, furniture, and so many small details, I could go on and on. I’m obsessed with this suite. Danielle’s ladies were the best of the best and enjoyed every moment together…even outside for their girl’s ceremony!
Sometimes it takes an intense round of “Wheels on the Bus” to get a good smile…but these ladies were up for it! Look at the transformation in Danielle’s sweet niece’s face!
Danielle’s beautiful mama helped her into her gown, and her best friend Christian got the first look before she headed out to see her tribe, and then Mick!
While the rain held out nicely, the day started really windy! For this reason, Danielle + Mick wanted to keep their first look indoors. I was a happy photog because I’ve been dreaming about using the bright hallway that leads to the presidential wing. It is luxurious, clean and elegant. It’s also tucked away from the main floor of the resort, so definitely more private.
The amount of love I felt from both families towards Danielle + Mick and towards each other was beautiful to witness, and made portraits a breeze in the Presidential Foyer. And let me just give a shout out to the amazing Fuchsia Peony. Her work is always gorgeous but these floral designs were perfection.
Danielle + Mick had visions of a Mountain Wedding in New England…in March…in the White Mountains. So they and their people had to be brave in the cold.
Fortunately the temps were mild and of course these two thought to have a hot chocolate station with all the fixings AND an endless supply of blankets. Danielle’s lifelong best friend Christian officiated and did such an incredible job.
Oh hey, there’s Ben + I, ready for our bride to come down the aisle. Thanks to Sara for the behind the scenes snap 🙂
Their winter wedding reception was in the Grand Ballroom at Mount Washington Resort, complete with uplighting by Pink Tie Productions.
Everyone was there to enjoy – from the toasts by both dads, MOH and Best Man, to the greek dancing and endless food and desserts. The pictures will have you wishing you were there! The night ended with a bang literally – when they had fireworks at their wedding! All of this made possible by Marjorie S at the Omni Mount Washington Resort, who truly knows how to plan an epic wedding.
Congratulations Danielle + Mick – we are so happy to have been a part of your best day at one of our collective favorite places!
